Day 213 - another warm day in paradise :-) OK average but not freezing so happy. Sheldon and I met at the town house just after 12, grabbed a tea and egg bun and hit the highway to Cowtown. Our first quick stop was Julian Tile finding some ideas but then stopped at Euro Tile where surprisingly we found two that may work.
so it came down to these two but they sure don't show actual color in the cell phone photos :-)
Then it was a quick dash to the naturopath Sheldon was to see about alternative treatment for his pinched nerve. A stop at Home depot where we bought closet organizers and MORE light bulbs then time to enjoy a great supper at Chop Steakhouse. Have you been?
A must stop place, Costco, was next where we returned the vanity and picked up a truck load of new stuff including these great shelving units. Their latest deal.. CFL flood light bulbs, half the price of Home Depot and halogen lights 10 for $10 and Home Depot had 1 for $8.39!!
Finally at 7:30 we headed to the ranch, we found the lock hanging on the gate and the house lit up.. wow who is working late was our praise. This was short lived when we arrived at the house to find EVERY light on but 3 and that included outside and garage!!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! once in side we saw progress and digress as both Sheldon and I spent 15 minutes sweeping dirt from stairs, utility room and cardboard runners. This is getting old. Why does everyone lose common sense when it is not their house? Or do they do this at home? any way here are photo updates for today
carpet guys arrived late morning and by end of the day had all but one room underlay installed
and carpet ready for tomorrow
looking good
rick the plumber was onsite :-) and finished main floor tub
installed ensuite toilet and both sets of taps
and installed the shower heads.. YES!
here are the shelves and more bulbs
the custom stainer was on site but sadly he decided to stain my wall and base board, again I must say WTH!!!! clearly the room looked finished, why would he not tape it off???
but at least it is done??
and the doors.. guess I will go with the optimistic done part
Rick also plumbed the boiler to the drain so no more pail emptying each day, his list is shorter but not quite done, again optimistic.. almost done
as he ran humidifier drain as well too
another delivery today was the outside stairs shown here in the dark, a better picture will be taken tomorrow. One the road again we headed to town stopping for mail and milk arriving at the town house at 9 pm. Britt was watching TV, what a surprise :-)
I blogged, accounted and found receipts for future returns while Sheldon watched wedding crashers and made yummy paralyzers for us. Showers and bed at midnight for tomorrow is a full day at the ranch!!
