Day 34 - floor going up & new pony
Day 34 had Rob out starting on the floor joists
inspectors from Medicine Hat and as far as Vancouver :-)
few mossies out after the rain
Asher thinks all looks good.
Earlier in the day, Sheldon, Britt and I traveled to Lacombe to Alberta Downs to pick up a new herd member. while there we got to ride in the starting vehicle with this view above
this was one of the racers
and here is our newest member Bandit on the Run, he is a standard bred with quite a track record. He actually flipped his heart in a recent race and the owners did not want it to happen again so he is retired from pacing at the tender age of four.

just a few puddles
trying to pop up roof of the 2nd tank cratered by dirt
Britt demonstrating her bridless Stacy Westfall ride
the crazy delivery guys dropped the roof trusses at the gate.. is it anywhere near the site?? NOT!
and this sunny day was also Strathmore Grad where Shaina was an escort for her friend Yanni

Day 28-30 and probably 31 and 32... RAIN!!
well I guess it is on a downside that the rain has hit harder Monday, Tuesday and today Wednesday and is forecast to rain tomorrow and Friday but on the upside the hay needed rain...:-)
And Kaylin comes home for a visit Friday!! So let it rain, make her feel like she is still in Vancouver weather wise!
my pretty girls all together again :-)

Day 27 - (May 22) rain water system installed
Day 27 we spent the day installing the rain water system
the day started rainy, this is view from inside the skid steer thru wiper, who knew we could fit two in the cab!
picking up barrel #1
rinsed out and moving to location
here it goes
and in place
picture to mark the power, water gas on east side of house
while Sheldon back filled, i made a temp day pen for the ponies
they thought they were free to the 80 acres
but found the hot fence and the berm (extreme trench on far right of photo)
Baby still insisted she explore and check roots etc. Pepper once gates open ran straight to the molasses mineral tub. finally after an hour he came to see the new food patch.
while back filling "someone" backed into the first tank so had to go in and push out the dent!
We rinsed out tank #2 and brought it to location but as it bounced all over, "someone" put a hole in the bottom!
it is now sitting on the side in order to patch. In the meantime I loaded old hay, raked etc
so was in need of a beverage break. The power cable spool makes a wonderful table
Britt, Shaina and friend Cassidy work the horses
dirt today went from this
to this :-)
