The weather picked up just before the first dog was to arrive to meet Coco and us and the horses at 1. Diego arrived in the back of a little ford truck, filling most of the box! He was so excited to meet Coco and us girls. We had a great one hour visit. Diego was not sure about the horses but he did OK. about 1:30 Sheldon got home from his call out and after the first initial growling meet, he was won over. Him and the rest of the crew. Coco was excited to have a "big" brother.
this is the picture that won my vote and below sealed it.
so after the hour, the vote was he needed Fivestar since his current family consisted of a 30 & 16 month old living with family in a 3 BR house in Strathmore waiting to find a house in Calgary. Prior to, they lived on 15 acres in BC. Just not a conducive situation for a dog of his size. Diego is a Cane Corso, pronounced /ˈkɑːneɪ ˈkɔrsoʊ/ KAH-nay-KOR-soh in English, a rare breed which almost was extinct till recent years when breed was recovered. He is four years old and is 170 pounds.
I snapped this one on my phone quick.. sort of gives a size reference :-)
Diego and his new little sisters
Coco is so happy
and they play but after a while she snaps, plays done and back to the house she goes LOL :-)
so then it was off for a wee walk with Shaina
checked me out via office window
then it was off for a perimeter walk with Britt and I
he loves to run ahead and back to us
then back down the road to house
and then a view from the back deck while Britt feed Bird. Later on, Kaylin joins us to meet him and for a delicious roast beef gourmet supper! Shaina went back in with her for a sleepover.
does this angle make my butt look big?
