Day 111 was planned as earlier in cooler part of the day fencing and that we did..Sheldon and I... only! one went to work, other two were in bed!! Tim's for tea and at the ranch by 9:30. It was 20 degrees that soon went to 29 and stayed hot until very late at night. We worked on putting up rails until 1 pm then ran to town for a quick lunch.
early start
the work begins
no longer close to house for power, s brings out the big gun
this is our progress by lunch
quite a bit done
the lag bolt/washer system we are doing
our ode to classic cowboy fence.. OK the pounder hit a rock and snapped, we pulled the pole and pounded in a new one but it stay crooked in the hole
Britt returned with us and Shaina went to work. Britt and Sheldon ran wire in the garage to put in speakers and volume control and a TV outlet. It will be a real man cave.
the finished drain in garage
B was a big chicken for heights but she did it
since she conquered some fear of heights she decided to try the worker stilts
I put more screws in doors and tidied the house mainly of blobs of black goo they use to seal joints.. UGH!! Britt mowed around the trailer.
Sheldon put the repaired skid plate on the swather.
At 6 we headed to town for bar-b-que rib supper. All girls then jumped in the truck and south on the 817 we went yet again. At the ranch we dropped off Shaina and Britt to ride horses while us 3 went to the river to look for a "mantle". This adventure took us down many paths.
he found a perfect one
raccoon and deer tracks
Some with grass as tall as I was. The last search was from the Coutt's home where we left with 7 trees, Thanks family C!! (photo taken a few days later)
It was now dark and the riders were calling so off north we headed. We arrived back in town at ten after grabbing the girls at the beer can. Another successful day at the ranch!
