Day 110 - HOT as blazes fencing!!

Holy hot was day 110. plans to start early did not pan out but we did get out of the house by 10. Tim's had a line up that took 20 minutes but we do need our Chai and B an ice cap (she missed our regular stops while in Quebec) Off to UFA to pick up rails, bolts, roundup & water hose to bury from hydrant to far pen water trough. This took a bit longer as we had to load and unload a couple times to get the right sized poles. A quick stop at A&W to grab a burger for lunch, Finally we arrived at the ranch at 11:30 am. Britt needed to check out the house changes and her horses. She took off to condition Julio and Beck while Sheldon and I started the rail installation.
 the first rail goes up
lawnmowers in action and Britt riding horse #1 in background
after 4 hours this is what we have!! Kevin stopped by to install one more cat5 outlet for me in the basement and joined us for a quick hydration break. And to chat about upcoming trip Shaina will have with them in Arizona.
starting the South to North section in front of the house and it is 4:30 pm and still about 28 degrees. Holy Hot!!
Shaina came out after work to help Britt work with the 2 junior horses
so i had them move the temporary fence
 moving along
trying to get girls to bring us poles resulted in this brain power. first they loaded them in the wagon and had Britt ride in with them until the strap connecting wagon to quad broke so plan B....
load them  on the quad and one hold them on and dump off back near the fence. It took more time to come up with the hair brained ideas but they felt it saved them muscle usage. Ah yes girls but it requires about the same lifting plus gas and flattening of the alfalfa :-) soon after they headed to town for a staff meeting for Shaina. Sheldon and I headed to town at 6 after lag bolting on 4 rails for a well earned shower and beverage! Delicious supper was followed by blog updates for me and step repair for Sheldon. Tomorrow might be a repeat day as it is forecast to be hot and sunny like today!
