Day 187 was one of the few remaining Saturdays we live in town. Shaina was off to work at Target by nine. The rest of us got moving dropping Sheldon at his truck to go do errands while I dropped Britt at work at just before 11 and then went to watch Asher while Amanda did Kaylin's hair for her work tonight.
At noon, Sheldon got a call from the painter saying the trim paint was cracking and not going to work. So I picked him up from the house and headed to Totem to meet the painter to find new paint. Greg took the new paint back to the house and carried on with spraying the trim color on. Home Hardware was our new stop where we color matched our accent and media room colors into the computer and picked up the first 5 gallons of wall paint.
Matt stopped out and put in outlets in the garage and hooked up the garage doors.
A quick stop at the house to load up Home Depot returns, grab a sandwich and drop the Buick with Shaina at work (to get home and pick Britt up at 4) found us on our way to the ranch to meet the shower expert Sheldon found to build the shower pan and possibly more. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. We have him coming next week to do the pan for sure and possibly more. Tony and his crew was trying to work but found an issue with the baseboards and the cabinets.. they are too close to the floor!! So now Dustin has to come in the morning and find a way to raise them a hair for the tile and the thin set to both fit under the edges. UGH, we were told there are challenges all the way along and we sure know this is true! :-)

I took off Julio's blanket since the weather was getting about14 degrees and Sheldon hooked up the trailer. Off to Calgary, first stop at CDL to pickup our hardwood. Next Cartwrights to look at lights again, Ikea to check lights and closet organizers and then off to Lowe's for light check. No luck at any of these places for lights. Finally we did our Home Depot returns and found a vanity light that comes in 1,2,3,4 & 5 light but of course they did not have any 3 light on hand but we did buy the rest. We also found wall scones for the theater room but again only 2 of the 5 we need. By now it was 6 pm so time to head home dropping the hardwood at the ranch in the garage.

7 pm we arrived back at the town house where Britt had made rice to go with the slow cooker chicken I threw on before heading to the ranch. Can you say delicious and so easy!!
Shaina was off to a Halloween party while Britt tidied their room and used the laptop to surf. Sheldon ran to restock the liquor cabinet, this is essential during building! Laundry, blogging, accounting and TV was the rest of our night. OK one may have napped too :-)
