Day 147 started with rain and lots of it until about 11 am. Sheldon was called out to work at 4 am! what a way to go back to work and with a sore back no less. he worked out there non stop until 2:30 pm when he needed to bring the truck and trailer back to town so we could make our voyage to get two new horses.
At the ranch, just the cabinet fellows worked on putting up more cabinets.
I worked my first full day in some time running to get cash and do banking at noon. I picked both girls up at 2:45 and we met Sheldon back at town house and headed to the city, first stop was Big Rock
then it was off to Stairs, Spindles and rail to pick rail colors, paint direct to pick cabinet stain and then to Sheldon's favorite chiropractor. She managed to put his tail bone back in, found sprained ribs and a bit more damage due to the spill he took :-) but she made it feel better!
the next stop at 6 was to pick up Miss Crafty Kate (AKA KD) from the lovely Jacquie MacArthur. We all enjoyed seeing the babies and other mares again as well as visiting with Jac and Sean.
A quick stop at Boston Pizza and then met horse number two at the Aldersyde Petrocan 7:45. Miss Jessie's Quest was happy to get out of her trailer ride from the pass but was not thrilled about getting into another one. Soon enough we got her in and took both ladies to the ranch to meet the rest of the herd. They were both happy to check out the shelter and eat grass as new roomies in the "fat" pen. Again the rain came down from the river to the ranch but it is much needed moisture and the day turned out lovely. At 9:30 we drove to town for a well deserved rest!
